How do I become a Thespian?

To become a Thespian, students must earn 20 points.  Each point represents at least 10 hours of work in the theatre.  They must also work in at least two different aspects of theatre on a minimum of three high school productions.  Once they’ve become members of the Thespian society, students may continue to earn points – these are recognized as gold stars that can be added to their certificates.  Dedicated students can aim to achieve Honor Bar status, an exceptional award recognizing the commitment of those who have earned 60 points, having devoted over 600 hours to theatre.

Started in 2015, students can now earn a Nordonia Letter in Drama.  To letter in Drama, students must earn 30 Thespian points.  So, they must be inducted into the International Thespian Society, meeting the above criteria, and earn their first gold star.  When those requirements have been met, they will also receive a Drama Letter.
