Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - 2026Truly Scrumptious!! Nordonia Drama took to the sky in the spring of 2026, presenting the family-favorite classic Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang ran April 17-19, 2026 and earned a Playhouse Square Dazzle Award nomination for every category we were eligible in! This recognition was such as FANTASMAGORICAL SURPRISE!! Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was a personal bucket list show for our Director of Drama, Chris Simmons. Megan Gargano returned as Assistant Director and Choreographer, with Ryan Dulaney as Musical Director. Kitty Flauto, Julia Dulaney and Dane Leasure were all on board to help us take flight, with Carlton Guc leading our "Chitty Crew" to design and build our very own Nordonia-built FLYING CAR!! |

2026 Dazzle Awards
Nordonia Drama participated in the 11th Annual Playhouse Square Dazzle Awards presented by Pat and John Chapman.
Our production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang earned EIGHT nominations, a Nordonia Drama record! We received a nomination in every category in which we were eligible: Best Actor for Ezekiel Rayle as Caractacus Potts, Best Supporting Actor for Ryan Arieta as Grandpa Potts, Best Supporting Actress for Katie Hersh as Baroness Bombust, Best Technical Execution, Best Choreography Execution, Best Chorus/Ensemble, Best Student Orchestra and BEST MUSICAL!
The Dazzle Awards were held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at the State Theatre in Playhouse Square. Ezekiel Rayle performed "Hushabye Mountain" as part of the Best Actor/Actress medleys, and Ryan Arieta and Katie Hersh joined him in the opening and closing numbers of the Dazzle Awards ceremony. Our cast was also able to perform "Me Ol' Bamboo" in recognition of their Best Musical nomination!
We did not take home any awards this night, but the recognition our production received amongst such stiff competition from our Dazzles peers was already victory enough. As always, we are so honored to share the stage with all of our friends. Below are photos, videos and more info from our night celebrating our cast, crew and staff of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!
